The nose of our tour boat shot up in the air and a moment later, my stomach had that tingling sensation as the boat plunged back down onto the next wave.

We were headed up the Na Pali Coast on the island of Kauai for a snorkeling trip, but the chop of the water was so intense that it was like a roller coaster ride, but on this version of the ride, majestic cliffs used in the Jurassic Park movies rose above us. There was that lush greenery to our right, the open ocean and blue sky to our left.

All of the soon-to-be snorkelers were howling in delight every time our catamaran took to the air only to come down and throw up a great spray of ocean mist onto us.

​

It was an experience of pure joy that brings a smile to my face every single time it crosses my mind! And we hadn't even dipped into the water to see the fish yet.

​

It's these types of unexpected treats that mix with immersing myself in new cultures that make the idea of travel so special to me.

​

As much as I love where I live in Southern California, I cherish my memories of boating through the canals in Suzhou, China, going for an evening stroll down the main street of the village of Koutouloufari in Greece, or savoring the flavors of tapas in a tavern in Barcelona, Spain.

​

Every trip brings with it, a greater understanding of this magnificent world we live in and the wonderful people who inhabit it.

​

I know that you have your own reasons for travel, and I honor that. This glimpse into my journeys is just an introduction into why I found my way into this industry.
